Introduction to the Project
I started this project because I wanted to share this awesome series with more people. I found the srt version of the subs on mediafire, after discovering 4-5 episodes missing, I searched and found another source on a forum, which led me to ionair.tv, which had all the softsubs on their website.
Who contributed on this?
I do all the editing and encoding, but the orginal subs are done by members of the Viki team. They include:

What exactly am I doing?
Since the srt version of Bu Bu Jing Xin was available on the internet, I’ve downloaded them and made some edits, and most importantly, I’ve added proper credits to the subbing team. The reason why I made edits was I wanted to make sure the translations have few mistakes.
Why am I doing this and isn’t this considered stealing?
Firstly, I do not intend to put this up, saying I did all of it, because I didn’t.
Also, I did not make the softsubs, they were already available on another forum/mediafire and http://www.ionair.tv/
I do not know who made these in the beginning, but the version I downloaded didn’t even have any credits at all. I’m actually doing Viki team a favor by making sure they get the proper credit they deserve.
As for whether other people will misuse it (steal/sell), I cannot be hold responsible since I didn’t even create the softsubs in the first place. They were already on the internet. The bottom line is, nobody can stop people from misusing, that always happens. But, if we stop sharing just over these people, is it worth it? The people who are doing the right thing are missing out then. We can’t simply punish EVERYONE over a few people’s misdeeds. I always hated when we simply put everyone in one fell swoop and say: 1/2 screwed up, now you ALL SUFFER. To me, that’s wrong. I hate it when people steal without credit, but I do not intend to do that at all. I don’t want to even claim credit on this!
I just want people to enjoy the show and that is our only intention. I have no interest in putting my name in the subs, even though I did make some edits.
I wanted to do this for the fans, because there are many fans who love this series. I want others to be able to watch it without worrying about how to work the subs.
Our goal is to bring the joys of this show to more people.
I will say this clearly right now, that all the hardworking translators at the Bu Bu Jing Xin Viki Channel: http://www.viki.com/channels/2978-startling-step-by-step-bu-bu-jing-xin did all the hard work of segmenting, subbing, translating, editing, I simply edited the srt script and tried to correct some wording, grammar and spelling.
If Viki fansubbers still felt like this is stealing, then I have this to say to you —
I would hope that it was your original intention to spread this show to more people, so they could enjoy it. If that is the case, then what we are doing is exactly that. We’re giving you all the credit to you here. Everyone who watches them will know it was Viki who subbed it.
I will not stop this project or remove the subs for the reasons mentioned above. I hope the fans can support this and that subbers are open minded enough to be happy that I’m doing this.
